I thought Gabe deserved a few of these questions, now things are getting interesting XD
1. Describe a scary nightmare from your childhood.
I don't have nightmares. *stares*
Ohhh alright. I once dreamed I was tricked into changing the Princess of a very powerful Kingdom into a Daemon. She promised to be good but as soon as she could she ran back to Daddy and took over the throne, then slaughtered all the Fae and also me.
Oh wait. At least part of that actually happened. *blink*
2. You are in the middle of a field. There is one other person. Why are the two of you there, and what are you doing?
Do I really have to spell this out for you? We're there because we want to be, and we're either screwing or drinking. Probably both. While high. The other person is that mad fox woman most likely, although it could also be just about any other female in Litharia.
Right now it could also be a political meeting but I'm still going to lean towards the screwing being more likely. It could even be a political meeting WITH screwing. I do what I have to do - it's a tough job.
3. What trait is most important to you in a romantic intrest or partner? This should be the one top trait that you can't live without.
Only one? I haven't thought about this much because it's important I don't get attached, but the woman I tend to find myself attracted to are passionate, proud, attractive and unpredictable.
4. What is your greatest desire?
For the Daemons to not only continue to survive here, but to thrive. I do not wish to see the Fae subjugated - they are the natives of this world - but I wish for the Daemons to forge their own, equally important place here and to hold it for all of time.
5. If you were offered the opportunity to live forever, would you take it (a), and if you did, what would you do with it (b)?
I think I would, though I can't...couldn't say for sure, not until I'd lived for such a long time that all of Litharia and the other realms were known to me. I'd want to live long enough to do that, though - see everything, know everything, and see to it the Daemons are successful.
6. What is the most painful experience you can remember?
That's hard. I feel pain, but at a much reduced intensity compared to most people. Interestingly enough that doesn't seem to extend to the pain of illness, though. Believe it or not the headaches were worse than any wound I've ever endured, including when Damian almost ruined my shoulder.
7. What is the most unusual thing that has ever happened to you?
Hands down, the fight with Damian. Becoming Daemon Lord was a surreal experience but nothing really compares with fighting and killing my father.
8. What do you smell like?
A mixture of summer roses (from Damian) and dark honey, which is unique to me. I also have an ability that makes this scent stronger and enhances my other abilities.
9. What's your biggest mistake?
Letting Damian control me for so long. One hundred years...not entirely wasted, I know, for it shaped some critical parts of who I am, and yet still it rankles that I let him force so much on me.
10. What's your favorite and least favorite food?
I like most meats. Raw is best, though cooked meat is definitely palatable too. I can't digest plant matter - like Damian was I'm an obligate carnivore.
11. What's your favorite color?
The deep red-purple of the Dark Glass crystal found in the Daemon Tunnels.
12. What is one thing you could change about yourself if you could?
I have faults, I know that, but there is little I would choose. They define me as much as, or even more than, any of my virtues. I would like to forget some of the things I was made to do by Damian though, if that counts.
13. What is the most important thing to you, living or not?
The Daemon race.
14. Where does your name come from?
Gabriel was chosen simply because Damian thought of it, and what Damian wanted he got. My old name, Os Vis, came from him too. It is no longer a part of me though. Jhaedaes Os Tar is my title and will pass to the next Daemon Lord when I die; it means Leader of Chaos in the Elvish tongue.
15. If you absolutely had to be married off to someone, who would it be?
I can't see why I would ever have to - who would make me? But Stehfanie would not be a bad choice I suppose. I couldn't make her happy most likely, and I don't see that it would change me, but I do still find her fascinating. How interesting would that be, politically?
16. What's your first bar experience?
I went to bars with Damian as soon as I was old enough to walk on my own. Not long after that I began killing the Daemons within. I was never allowed to drink; for a long time bars were just another murder scene for me.
17. What scares you the most?
The idea that the Daemons might get wiped out of Litharia. Our power, our dignity...lost - such an experience would ruin what we are.
18. What is something or someone you would give up your life for?
If it would help the Daemon race, I would gladly give my life. I'd have to be bloody sure of it though.
19. If someone threw a rock at you on purpose, with the intention of hurting you, what would you do?
Kill them, I guess. I suppose it could depend on the context - if it was a child I would frighten them, but wouldn't hurt them - but generally if someone was stupid enough to do that they deserve to die.
20. What is the worst physical injury you can imagine having?
Physical injuries are hard for me to predict...something that killed me, I suppose.
21. If you could kill anyone, with no consequences, who would it be and why?
Ooh, there are a few I'd like to get rid of. But the only one who I currently know I absolutely can't kill and would really, really like to is Auspice. Yes, I'd thoroughly enjoy killing him - I think I'd tear his fingers and toes off, one by one, and force him to eat them until he choked. I can't imagine anything more satisfying.
22. If you could do anything right now and succeed, what would you do and why?
I'd remove every threat to the Daemons by whatever means necessary and set us up in Litharia for ages to come - powerful, chaotic, dangerous predators, friends-of-the-Fae but independent and defended from them, remembered forever in the tales told of Litharia.
23. What is the most precious thing you have lost?
My immortality, I think. I would like longer than I believe I will have. Still, a long life is no guarantee of success.
24. Home is where the heart is. Where is home?
The Dreamland is my first home, the Crystal cavern my second, Litharia as a whole my third. All three hold some importance to me.
25. When was the last time you cried and why did you do it?
I'm not even sure I can cry, to tell you the truth.
26. Do you think you could ever imagine yourself being a slave?
I was a slave, of sorts, to Damian. I can never imagine returning to that...I'm a very different person than I was then. I've grown considerably, have many more facets and dimensions. Slavery does not fit.
27. If you were in the middle of an ocean and you couldn't see shore anywhere, would you keep swimming or give up and drown?
I'd keep swimming, although I hate it. The only thing worse than swimming forever to get away from the water would be just floating in it forever.
28. If you could choose between unlimited power and the life of the person you are closest to, what would you choose and why?
This is one of the reasons I am not particularly close to anyone. I have friends, of course, but I keep enough distance that I could make decisions like this if I needed to. I'd choose power.
29. Are you left or right handed?
Depends on what you're talking about. I write with my right hand but because my claws are a primary weapon, I fight equally well with both hands.
30. If you were in a situation where you would have to kill the person you care about the most to survive, what would you do? Would you kill them and survive or let them live and die yourself?
Survival is always preferable to death. Any Daemon will tell you that; our whole lives are based around this fact.
31. Given the choice between ultimate knowledge and a short life or immortality and stupidity, which would you chose?
I couldn't do my job if I was stupid. I would never give up the strength of my mind - politics is a mental game as much as a physical one, even for a Daemon.
32. How would you like to die, if you could choose?
I haven't thought about that. I will not die of old age, that I already know for sure, so I would hope it's at the hand of a very worthy successor to the Daemon Lord title.
33. Do you have a preferred weapon?
My magic, my claws, my fangs. I don't use weapons that are not a part of me - Damian taught me that much.
34. What do you believe to be your biggest fault and why?
The similarities between Damian and I are far too great. I look a lot like him, so much so that we were often mistaken for brothers. I inherited his magic. I have some facets of his personality. I hope that over the years I've distinguished myself from him but I'm not sure I've done enough yet.
35. In your opinion, what is your worst physical trait?
Again, only that I look so similar to Damian. My appearance is largely a function of my magic however, and I am generally content with it apart from this fact.
36. Imagine your ideal city. What's it like? What kind of government does it have?
I don't really care what happens to the Humans or Shifters, to be honest, although if the Shifters continue to be happy in Litharia more power to them. I only desire that the Fae keep their strength and the Daemons continue to build theirs. The Daemon customs of Government are the ones I'd choose.
37. Can you read? Who taught you?
I can read, yes. The Fae, mostly the Elves, taught me when I arrived in Litharia - the common language, the Fae language, and the Elven script used in the formal scrolls of the library. I learned to read the native Daemon language back in the Dream Land though and I can't remember who would have taught me that.
38. If you could bring someone you care about back to life, who would it be?
I can't think of anyone right now. I doubt I would ever choose to do that.
39. Who is the person you hate most in the world and why?
Damian. The fact that he's dead doesn't change that and never will.
40. What's your favorite place in Litharia and why?
I can't choose just one. There are many parts of Litharia I love...those that are the Daemons, those that belong to the Fae, Spirit, the wild places.
41. One day, would you like to have kids? Why or why not?
I'm infertile, so I've never given it a thought.
42. What is you lucky number?
Hell, I don't know. I don't have one.
43. If you had to torture someone for information that would save hundreds of people, including yourself, would you do it?
Of course I would. I happen to enjoy torture and often do it for no reason other than my own indulgence.
44. What's your favorite season, why is it your favorite season, and what is one memory associated with it?
Winter, because I have a high natural body temperature from my Fire Elemental blood and don't feel the cold much. Plus, there's less sunlight hours. I also first came to Litharia in the winter, so that's the memory.
45. Where would you choose to be buried/have your ashes scattered, and why?
