Fallen Celestials
At character creation, choose one of the following:
Mental Shield: No one can read emotions or thoughts from this character unless they have an ability that gives them that power AND they have a higher post count.
Star Gazer: Gives the user the ability to see the future in the stars. For every fifty posts, the user may glean one fact per night.
At 50 posts, choose one of the following:
Dreamwalk: The user may slip into the dreams of anyone they have met. This ability will fail if the target has a counter ability and a higher post count.
At 100 posts, choose one of the following:
Telepathy: The character may read the minds of those they are conversing with. It can be blocked by a counter ability and a higher post count.
At 150 posts, choose one of the following:
Sense of the Dead: The character may see and hear ghosts.
At 200 posts, choose one of the following:
Aura Perception: The character may see auras. This ability may be turned on and off by the character’s will. This ability may be countered by a counter ability and a higher post count.
At 250 posts, choose one of the following:
Speak: The character may speak telepathically with anyone so long as (a) the target is within Litharia and (b) the character has seen the target’s aura before. This ability can be used to speak with multiple people at once, for a number equal to one for every fifty posts the character has. If a target has an active ability preventing their mind from being read, it will interfere with Speak regardless of post count.
At 300 posts, choose one of the following:
Raven’s Kiss: After kissing a person and for as long as the character keeps this magic activated, any physical or magical wound inflicted upon this character will not harm the character and will instead harm the person they kissed.
Astral Walk: The character can consciously leave his or her body while asleep. Their astral form will have the attributes of a ghost, but they will not receive the ghost affinity abilities and will instead retain their own. They can only be perceived by those with the ability to perceive ghosts. Characters using Astral Walk may use Dreamwalk to astrally teleport to different places in Litharia. They may leave their body for as long as their body can handle not drinking, eating, or receiving other needed care.
At 350 posts, choose one of the following:
Aura Manipulation: The character may manipulate auras, allowing them to create phantom injuries, mental disorders, emotions, and even blocking or changing the way auras are perceived. This can be countered by a counter ability and a higher post count. Manipulations will last so long as the target is within sight of the character, but no longer. Phantom injuries cannot kill, but they can trick the body into thinking it is dead. Phantom injuries do feel like real ones and can cause a character to go into shock if the “wound” goes untreated. All effects will fade when the ability is no longer in effect, but a character in shock will still need to be treated for shock.
At 400 posts, choose one of the following:
Possession: Using a combination of Astral Walk and Dreamwalk, the character may possess sentient beings while they are sleeping. This can be countered by a counter ability and a higher post count. Like with Astral Walk, they may leave their body for as long as their body can handle not drinking, eating, or receiving other needed care.

Tainted Celestials
At character creation, choose one of the following:
Blindfold: The character causes darkness to cloud their victims eyes, rendering them blind until it is lifted. This can be countered by someone with a higher post count or counter ability.
At 50 posts, choose one of the following:
Overshadowing Opinion: Allows the character to emphasize the belief or view of one with a lower post count, while darkening all other options by understating their efficiency.
Evade: The character is able to manipulate the shadows around them to 'hide' them. The character must be completley still when hiding in the shadows. Using this power consumes energy and can only be used for a limited amount of time. The higher the post count, the longer the character can control the shadows.
Shadow Bind: This ability uses the shadow in the surround to bind, and immobilize an opponent temporarily trapping them in cocoon of shadows. This ability is weak in strong sunlight, and cannot be used in complete darkness.
At 100 posts, choose one of the following:
Shadow Tail: This ability allows the user to move through the shadows using them like corridors to get from one place to another. However the distance one can travel is limited by their magical ability(post count). When fist learn the ability can only be used to travel a maximum of 10 feet. This distance increases by an addition 10feet every 25 posts. This ability cannot be used to enter place protected by pure or light magic.

Avian Werebeasts
Note: if abilities are species or genus specific this is noted in brackets after the particular ability. Only characters influenced by that species/genus may select that ability.
At character creation, choose one of the following:
Eyes of the Hawk: Gives much better eyesight for distances, detail, and color. Allows the user to catch the minute things they would have missed.
Talons: Grants the user skills with melee weapons, reflecting on the fierceness and love of battle of the birds of prey, counterable by those with higher post counts and/or an ability that directly counters this. [birds of prey]
Birdsong: The ability to either put people in a wonderful or foul mood by singing. The mood will be completely random.
Copy Cat: The character is able to imitate other avians and humanoid voices. He/she must hear the call or voice first before being able to mimic it, and with practice, perfect it.
Avian Friend: The character can naturally attract and calm wild birds; though they cannot speak to or command them they will be comfortable in their presence.
Shadow Warping - The ability to travel a maximum of a few hundred feet extremely quickly. Not exactly teleportation, but allows him to move at a higher speed.
At 50 posts, choose one of the following:
Light as a Feather: Doubles the user's speed and balance when in use.
One with the Raptor: This ability allows the character to gain all the normal predatory senses of a bird of prey. This includes eyesight (details, color), hearing, and natural instincts.
At 100 posts, choose one of the following:
Talk to Birds: Allows the user to talk with, though not control, the particular bird species he or she transforms into.
Leap of Faith: The user can jump distances that would not ordinarily be possible, up to a maximum of ten feet
At 150 posts, choose one of the following:
Command Birds: Allows the user to command a bird to aid in an action.
Chatterbox: The Shifter can speak, albiet with the impediments of the average 'speaking' bird, while in the avian form.
At 200 posts, choose one of the following:
Eagle's Dive: Allows the user to fall from a great height without death, provided the user is not distracted. Will not work from heights beyond 75 meters. Injuries become more common as the user nears the maximum height.
At 250 posts, choose one of the following:
Featherduster: Negates the effects of any and all magic currently in effect from all characters on the field with a lower post count than the user. Can only be used once per thread.
At 300 posts, choose one of the following:
Vulture Sense: The user can tell if a character in the vicinity is close to death.

Phoenix Power: In the event of fatal injury, the user can self-combust in order to survive. Does not work on poisoning or old age. Does not work if character dies before attempting combustion.

Reptilian Werebeasts

At character creation, choose one of the following:
Heightened Hearing: Multiplies the character's hearing ability by two.
Scent: Multiplies the character's sense of smell by two.
Immunity: The character becomes immune to all natural poisons.
Dragon Scales: The character's skin will act the same as Dragon's scales, repelling magic and physical attacks with the standard eye, mouth, and other weak spots. [dragon]
Sticky Fingers: The character has scales on the tip of his/her fingers on all his/her forms (including human). The scales are lined up in such a way that they allow the character to cling to and climb on most surfaces.[lizards]
Hydration Monster: This ability allows the character to go for at least two weeks without a sip of water before dying of dehydration. [Desert Lizards]
At 50 posts, choose one of the following:
Shed/Molt: Injured skin peels away and the skin underneath is completely healed. This only works for skin injuries.
Dragon's Flames: The character will have the ability to breath the fire of their true form. [dragon]
Petrify: When in true form, the character has the ability to briefly paralyze whomever looks directly into his/her eyes. Characters with a higher post count have a better chance of countering this ability. [basilisk]
Funerary: the user can spit fire in their true and half form, to a distance of one foot. Distance increases by an extra foot with every 50 posts. [cobra]
At 100 posts, choose one of the following:
Chatter Bug: Ability to speak to all insects. [insects]
Silver Tongue: The character is able to speak their native tongue while in their true form.
Goddess of Silence: The user can render another character mute for up to four posts. The user may deactivate the ability before this time and reactivate it later in the same thread, but total duration is no more than four posts (Egyptian Cobra).
At 150 posts, choose one of the following:
Force Field: Creates a bubble shield around character that blocks all material physical and physical magical attacks by degenerating them into nothing. Attacks with a higher post count will be less effective but still be able to pass through. [scorpions, turtles]
Dragon Blood: The character's blood will have all the magical properties of dragon blood, including healing and high temperature. [dragon]
Wadjet: The user acts as a shield for up to three other people, so that any attacks directed at them (both physical and magical) are redirected to the shield. For example, if an enemy used a weapon on a shielded person, the injury would afflict the shield instead (or be blocked by relevant techniques if the shield uses them). [egyptian cobra]
At 200 posts, choose one of the following:
Poison Radiation: Creates an invisible electromagnetic field that can 'poison' anyone who comes into contact with it, paralyzing them completely without a counter ability. Extends up to fifteen feet but is only lethal within the closest yard. [poisonous insects]
Lord/Lady of the Flame: The user harnesses the power of the sun at their back, and changes their form to a being of light and heat. The light is blinding and the heat is dangerous in a ten metre radius, but the ability can only be used for two posts at a time. [egyptian cobra]
Hiss: character may speak to the animal they transform in to.
Permafrost: Ability to freeze any inanimate object and perfectly preserve it in that state permanently. [ice Dragon]
Vocal Reptilian: The character is able to speak to other humanoids and be understood in his/her true form.
At 250 posts, choose one of the following:
Teleport: Ability to teleport to the location of a random ally. [insectoid]
Meretseger: The character can, with a touch, cause severe pain in a localised area when touching someone who has sinned, or heal any flesh wound of a person who is peaceful. The character cannot make the judgment of the person themselves, rather the magic bonds with the person’s innate values to judge the person being touched. (Egyptian Cobra).
Incinerator: Grants the ability to create searing-hot steam from his mouth that is hot enough to burn skin (dragons).
At 300 posts, choose one of the following:
Digpa Rusrin: The ability to drastically increase speed and physical strength. While activated, the character will have a blue glint as though they are in moonlight. [scorpion]
Fire Hazard: Ability to control any fire started by the character.
Apophis: The character no longer needs to ingest food or water for survival; all their nourishment comes from the power of the sun. When actively using this power the character may actually dim the light of the sun, causing darkness to fall within their line of sight even on a bright day (Egyptian Cobra).
At 350 posts, choose one of the following:
Hive Mind: Character become’s the central mind for all animals the same type as their true form in the area and are able to control them via collective consciousness. While activated, any psychological magic with a lower post count will be ineffective. [insectoid]
Migration: Character will never become lost while in flight. Characters will also have an innate understanding of wind and weather patterns in relation to their flight pattern.
Hymn of Renenutet: The user can raise the level of rivers to cause flooding in the area around them. Large, faster flowing rivers can cause dramatic and damaging floods that may threaten nearby people. Smaller, slow flowing rivers will flood more slowly and less dangerously (Egyptian Cobra).
At 400 posts, choose one of the following:
Exterminate: Creates a physical blue electromagnetic ‘laser beam’ that is fatal to the touch. By nature it is shield defying. [scorpions]
Eye of Horus: The character is able to fire blasts of shield-defying energy from their eyes. This blast takes about ten seconds to power up and is fatal to the touch (Egyptian Cobra).

Mammalian Werebeasts
Note: if abilities are species or genus specific this is noted in brackets after the particular ability. Only characters influenced by that species/genus may select that ability.
At character creation, choose one of the following:
Swift: Gives the character superior speed and reflexes. The character will be faster than characters without this ability. If faced with other characters with this ability, the character with the higher post count wins.
Scent: Multiplies the character's sense of smell by two.
Heightened Hearing: Multiplies the character's natural hearing ability by two.
Iron Crunch: The character has twice the crushing power in their jaw than is usual for their true form.
Sense of Death: the character is able to sense when someone is dying and is able to sense what exactly is killing the individual.
Gaze of the Night: the character has better night vision.
Infant Aroma: Non-sentient infant mammals are attracted to the character and may end up following him/her for a brief amount of time. The young animals are drawn close to the character and demand attention. They do not fear the character and can be held/pet by the character. This ability cannot be controlled by the user and is always in effect, though the animals will not put themselves in harms way to be close to the character. [bovidae]
Strong as an Ox: The Character's strength is increased by three.
At 50 posts, choose one of the following:
Enhanced Hearing: Amplifies natural hearing by four. Allows the ability user to hear over a longer range in distance, lower and higher frequencies, and quieter noises.
Canidae Speech: Allows the user to speak with animals within the family Canidae. [canidae]
Sensory Detail: Allows character to detect any hidden persons in the area unless the other character has a counter ability and a higher post count. Ability is stronger the more the frightened or endangered character is by the hidden persons. This ability is almost entirely subconscious.
Judgement: Allows the user to judge the nature of other characters simply by looking at them. Picks up good versus evil, bad or good intentions, and personality traits. Can be countered by a character with a higher post count and ability that prevents mind reading. [equidae]
Darkest Night: The user can drain the light in a radius of five metres around themselves, leaving complete darkness only they can see through. May be countered by a counter-ability and higher post count.
Bat’s Heart: The character will always win at card games unless playing a character with a higher post count and good fortune-related ability. [bat]
Hefty Consumer: The character may eat and gain nutrition from otherwise inedible things. This does not include poisonous or similarly harmful things. [bovidae]
Blissful Support: This grants the user the ability to make a person on the brink of death to feel absolute peace; whether it be from physical pain, mental or emotional pain, the character can make this person on death’s bed even to feel no regret in their life. This only applies to any physical or natural injuries and traumas while the pain of magical injuries can only be dulled at this point.
Blood Clot: When the character gets an open flesh wound, their blood flow instantly slows down to help keep the user from bleeding to death.
At 100 posts, choose one of the following:
Enduring Endurance: Triples the character's ability to endure blood loss, harsh weather, muscle strain, and hunger.
Self Preservation: Neutralizes most magic that attacks/reads the mind or personality without a higher post count.
Healer’s Breath: The user can heal other characters of all minor ailments such as coughs, measles, flu, colds, worms, mild poisons, warts and so forth by having them inhale their breath. Does not work on injuries or major illnesses such as cancer. [equidae]
Emotionless: The ability to completely rid themselves of all emotions while activated. Makes any magic that effects emotions ineffective without a higher post count. [predatory animals]
Sleepless: the character never requires sleep and can cause others to not need sleep when around them. [bat]
Ladies Man: The character may release a pheromone from his horns that attracts female characters. This ability may be countered by a higher post count or by a character with no sense of smell. The effects are subconscious, but a character with a heightened sense of smell may be able to notice the pheromone scent. [male goats]
At 150 posts, choose one of the following:
Moon Vision: Allows the user to see as well in night as they do in the day.
Fortune: The character has the ability to bestow either good or bad fortune on another character. The effects last for the duration of the next thread that character participates in but can be countered if the character has an ability preventing bad fortune. Can only be used once per thread. True Mask: The ability to imitate the appearance, voice, and scent of anyone by casting a physical illusion. The illusion is more accurate with the more contact the Shifter has had with that individual. [foxes, coyotes, raccoons, and felines]
Invisibility: The user may turn invisible at will by closing their left eye. [bat]
Petrifying Shriek: The character is able to let out an ear-piercing screech that causes anyone within earshot with a lower post count away to run away from the character in terror. This can be countered by someone with a higher post count, counter ability, or by someone with ear protection. [goat][/i]
At 200 posts, choose one of the following:
Bless: The user can bless pregnant woman and young children, conferring on the child a character creation level ability of the user's choice from the species genus book. Can be used on one character per thread, and only once on each individual. [equidae]
Third Eye: A third ‘minds’ eye appears on the character’s forehead. This eye sees all falsehoods and tricks. While it is activated no magic that affects the mind will affect this character without a higher post count. [foxes, felines, otters, giraffes, and opossums]
Criminal Soul: The user cannot be detected when stealing unless the character being stolen from has a higher post count or a counter ability preventing illusions. One item per character. [bat]
Trickster: The character is able to create up to twelve fake copies of him/herself. These copies are merely illusions and are not solid. So if one is attacked, it will simply dissipate. The copies stay present as long as the character's magic is active. [goats]
At 250 posts, choose one of the following:
Evil Ward: The user is immune to dark and evil-based magical abilities such as evil-eye, or other abilities that seek to cause the character harm in an overtly dark or evil manner. [horse]
Magic Theft: The ability to copy and use any magical ability previously used on the character as long as the character has that post count or higher. The further away the ability is from the user’s own affinity the greater power needed to perform it. [foxes, coyotes, raccoons, and felines]
Spirit: Due to being related to the spirits of the dead the user can pass through any solid object, including other living creatures and weapons, when the ability is activated. [bat]
Immense Strength: Multiplies the character's strength by three.
At 300 posts, choose one of the following:
Amulet: playable characters cannot die from illness, injury or poison while in the vicinity of a character with this ability, giving the character time to heal them. If their calamity should have been fatal and is not addressed they will die once the character with this ability leaves their line of sight. [equidae]
Extreme Speed: Characters can reach such a high speed that they are impossible to see and can leave after images.
Vampire Saliva: The user can inject vast quantities of the anti-clotting agent vampire bats use to feed into a victim. This will incapacitate the character for the rest of the thread through causing bleeding from the nose, mouth and ears if not countered by an anti-poisoning ability and a higher post count. Natural Healer: So long as the character still has their complete set of bones, they can regenerate their body the next morning as though they were never injured. This does not work after death.
At 350 posts, choose one of the following:
Energy: The user can manipulate the energy levels of themselves and other playable characters. In the positive direction they can reduce the need to sleep to nothing for up to one month, and can increase the energy of even very sick, injured or old characters to high levels. In the negative direction they can drain the energy of even very vital characters to nearly nothing and induce a coma lasting up to one week. Can be countered by another energy-manipulation ability and a higher post count. [horse]
Cause of Happiness: The user can bestow one of the five causes of happiness onto any character (including themselves). This must be randomly rolled and may either be: wealth (character will never have to use coin to pay for anything), health (character is immune to all illnesses), long-life (character may not be killed by another character before 50% of their lifespan has passed), virtue (character will always be perceived by others as noble and trustworthy), or natural death (character cannot be killed by any means other than old age). This ability stays with the character for life but at the cost of ten years off the user’s lifespan. One use per thread and once per character, maximum. [bat]
Chatterbox: The character is able to speak to and understand non-sentient, semi-sentient, and sentient mammals. The character may develop an empathic understanding with all non-mammals. [goat]
At 400 posts, choose one of the following:
Immortal’s Gift: The user can heal any and all injuries, illnesses and ailments of another character, even if it should have been fatal. This healing can be performed up to one per thread but each time it is used, the price is ten years off the lifespan of the user. A record should be kept in the user’s profile. [equidae]
Rebirth: If killed the character can be reborn whole and unharmed the next morning. Can be used only once in a lifetime; does not work for death resulting from old age [bat].

Battle Terrkas
At character creation, choose one of the following:
Perfect Aim: So long as the target is still and the wind is fair, the character will never miss. If the target is moving or the wind is strong, the character with the higher post count wins. If the target has no post count, the target gets hit.
Battle Ready: Ability to completely rid themselves of any emotion but destructive urges.
Flight: If the terrka's true form has wings, then the terrka (in true form only) can fly; these wings cannot carry them higher than the forest trees and they cannot carry more than the weight of a cat while flying.

Stable Ground: The character has an extraordinary sense of balance in both his human and true form. They can only be knocked down by someone with a higher post count.
At 100 posts, choose one of the following:
Warsong: While engaged in battle, character will be able to sense a few moments into the future but will only be able to perceive it as music.
Blood Clot: If the character is struck in battle and gains a wound, that wound scabs in a matter of minutes, depending on how large the wound is. It does not fully heal and is still prone to infection. It can also still cause the character to have slower reflexes, and there is still pain.
