Aranel had had a great time with Flynn at the Spirit markets. It was an adventure all on its own and it was fun to spend time with her one friend. She even managed to get an expensive wooden-carved dragon bracelet to wear! The crowds were a bit much to handle, but she had come out just fine in the end. Spending a day in Spirit was enough humanoid contact for her. Now she just wanted to spend her days in the Forest of the Fae with Orophin.
The dragon had not grown much over the months. He still had a long way to go before being fully sized, but the process tended to slow down at a point. It would take quite a number of years before he became an adult. He had gained the ability to spray boiling hot water though only a small amount.
As for Aranel, her appearance had not really changed at all. Her long black hair still reached to the lower portion of her back and she continued to wear her bronze head and arm band. For that day, her silk dress was a deep, dark purple; beautiful in color and shape. The top portion exposed a portion of her breasts and had very short sleeves that rested on the side of her arms. Form fitting and elegant, it reached down well past her knees and onto the forest floor. Around her waist and the collar of the dress was golden embroidery. For the most part it was simple, yet beautiful and elegant in appearance. As for shoes, she wore none. She never did when it was comforting to walk bare foot along the forest floor. Since it was fairly hot out in the middle of the day, there was no discomfort with her light amount of clothing.
The changeling was sitting under a large willow drawing, affectionately scratching Orophin’s muzzled; right around the nose. The horse-sized dragon was rested on the ground next to her with his head in her lap, softly falling asleep as Aranel hummed a pleasant and soothing tune.
