"Is it true?" asked the older gentleman as his gaze shifted warily around the dimly lit bar. He almost jumped out of his seat when a man in the corner coughed and once more when the bar keep popped the cork on some ale. "Is what true?" asked the man at the bar beside him as he turned to face the skittish man. A large hood shaded the entirety of his face so that only the gleam of the brown eyes could be seen through the darkness. The cloak was made of green velvet and covered most of his body except for his hands which were loved in green leather. "That...Th-that Than the Night Elf has returned with the Army of Green Flames," the frightened man stuttered as he turned to look at the man. "BARKEEP!" called the man to the man behind the bar who rushed over, "Get this man a... Rusty Dagger he needs to calm his nerves." The bartender nodded and then moved on down the bar to prepare the drink. "Now, Council Man Mardoc I have been your trusted adviser for many months now, if something as important as Than returning were to happen you know I would be the first to tell you. Especially since the council would be at such a risk with him in town," the cloaked man said as the barkeep returned to the two and placed a drink before the council man, "Now drink up sir, relax a little bit."
The man nodded slowly and took a sip of the drink. Once he had finished he turned to face the man, "You're right Th..." The man suddenly stared choking violently as the hood man drew back the hood to reveal the face of a night elf with messy purple hair. "Did I not mention my real name was Than? Could swore it came up the other night in the bar," Than said as he stood up and shed off the cloak before walking towards a door in the back of the bar, "Alastor my good boy, dispose of that body then meet me down stairs for the interveiws." "As you wish sir," the barkeep replied as he hopped the bar and picked up the body; following than through the back door before he continued out the back door to the alley. As he exited Than turned left and walked down the short flight of stairs into the cellar. The cellar was dimly lit except for a pair of torches burning the trademark green flames of Than's army. Large kegs of ale lined the sides and a small table was set up in the rooms center with chairs on either side.
A small stack of papers lay in the center with a pot of ink and a quill holding them down. Beside them a small candle burned green with a stick of wax and a stamp nearby. As Than entered the room the two changelings who stood behind the table nodded before Than took his seat in the chair beside him. He had just sat down when the scurrying of tiny paws could be heard and the form of a pine martin rushed into the cellar and across the cobblestone floor before hopping up the back of the chair and wrapping itself along the back of Than's neck. The dark elf rose a hand to pet it's head once before he smiled, "Salvador, I think it's time to see if the world can give a little more fuel to the army of Green Flames!" "Yes sir," said the changing to Than's right before he made his way to the base of the stairs, "SEND IN THE FIRST RECRUIT!" He bellowed up the stairs to an elf who nodded and rushed into the bar.
