So far, Theseus had gotten nowhere when it came down to tracking the bandits that destroyed his home town. It was a depressing thought that was starting to take a toll on the shifter. Originally he had been trailing a group of men that matched similar descriptions of the bandits from what the surviving villagers had said, but he lost them once they starting using alleys and hidden passages (no doubt). So now he was stuck. On the bright side, he did have a name of the group; Tears of Blood was the group’s name.
Still, the shifter had given up searching for the day. For the time being he was stuck in Spirit. He had no coin; only the clothes and weapons on his back. The only clothes he wore was a long and dirty burlap-tunic with a torn, dark yellow cape attached that wrapped across his chest. He didn’t even have any shoes; this was all due to his most recent shifting experience. His curly black hair was dirty and he was pretty damn sure there was a layer of grim covering his face.
The worst part was; he wasn’t even stuck in The City where he could at least visit his little sister. Nope. He was stuck in Spirit; which was a place he really didn’t know all that much about.
Walking down the street with his pike in hand and sword strapped around his waist by a leather sheathe didn’t grab too much attention. It was not odd at all for a man to be walking aimlessly around with a weapon.
Bulls ears flicking away the stupid mosquitoes that constantly craved to land on them, Theseus was close to the temple district of Spirit. All the massive buildings were completely visible to his eye and the road was fairly clean. He was no man of faith, but considering this was the most cleanly area he had been all day, he was a bit reluctant to leave.
Since the sky and sun was shrouded by clouds, it was actually a bit chilly. Every breeze that flew by made the leg hairs on Theseus’s legs stick up. He was tired of walking around and not entirely knowing where he was going, so he decided to just sit down on a stone bench off to the side of the road and rest for a moment. It rested on a patch of grass that was full of weeds, but the shifter didn’t care. He was too frustrated to really pay any attention to it all at the moment.
