For as long as the dragons have existed on Litharia's sacred ground there have been tales of great warriors who sought them out and stole from them their powers, becoming monstrous creatures with immense skill and power. Tales of these Dragons returning to their people and protecting them from the onslaughts that assailed them or being forced to remain in the mountains as punishment for their actions have been told. Some believe these tails to be false, but I assure you they are no work of fiction. For centuries upon centuries men have fought dragons and upon partaking of their heart became part dragon. But one must ask how one becomes a half dragon...
The Thread:
Punished by the gods, one who killed the dragon out of sport and took the heart to better their own self, is punished with a grisly inhuman form.
Most people who receive this fate are forced to remain in the Cliffs Of Heaven with the dragons as a punishment for being so selfish and cruel. These people make up 60% of the Draconoids population and are the primary reason why no one knows if the draconoids really exist.
These Draconoids are born from those who slayed the dragon to help the others and choose to take the heart to help the world, they are rewarded with a more humanoid more similar to their original selfs.
These Draconoids are allowed to leave the Cliffs and return to their people so they may aid them with their new skills and talents.
Note: It is possible to be judged between the two extremes and these draconoids are normally half and half.
The Abilities and Transformations:
Each Draconoid receives three of the following abilities. Two are chosen by the judging God by random roll, however characters are allowed to choose their third ability.
The Ceremony and Offering:
The ceremony consists of five simple steps:
The Companion's Rewards
The person who becomes a half-dragon is not the only one that is involved in the quest. For their part in aiding the half-dragon, up to five companions who played an active part in killing the dragon may receive a gift from the dragon's body. Only one of each gift is available; these must be decided on by the characters among themselves. If an agreement cannot be reached, the judging God will dole them out at random.
The possible gifts are:
None of the gifts can be used until a character with a crafter affinity has been contacted in game by the gift-owner, and has agreed to fulfill the instructions to activate the gift. A character of another species is also required to participate in the activation of each of the gifts, although if the crafter affinity character is the correct species for the particular gift they may act in both roles.
If the Dragon-Armour comes up against the Dragon-Sword, or the Dragon-Poison comes up against the Dragon-Blood, the gifts are of equal power. A random roll must be used to determine which of the gifts succeeds.

The Thread:
- To become a Draconoid, a character must first create a dragon hunting thread with at least three other characters (or one that exceeds four pages with two) as taking on dragons is not child's play.
- Any thread that wishes to end with a spectacular draconoid transformation must include the journey, the battle, and the offering of the dragon's heart to the Gods.
- No one may become a Draconoid without having a God or Demi-God oversee the offering and judge the character on his actions and talents.
- During the judging the character offers his motives, means, and reasoning for the entire thing and the judging God will then decide the type of Draconoid they will become.

Only one of each gift is available; these must be decided on by the characters among themselves. If an agreement cannot be reached, the judging God will dole them out at random.
The possible gifts are:
- One set of dragon knuckle-bones: the most accurate divination runes available. There are five bones in a set; one predicts future love, one future enemies, one future family, one future achievements, and one death.
Crafter must carve the appropriate symbols into the runes to activate. An Outcast character must be negotiated with to learn the correct symbols to carve. - Two vials of dragon-blood: when drunk, each vial will heal any and all injuries and diseases of one person, even if they should have been fatal.
Crafter must create two vials from the stone used to create the Ice Castle, to hold the dragon blood; it must be stored for at least three months before use and will dissolve all regular vials within one month. A Human character must help obtain the stone. - One bag of dragon scales: enough to have one full set of armour crafted. The armour deflects physical magical attacks up to 100 post-level, all fire-based attacks, and is resistant to all weapons not specifically designed to pierce dragon armour.
Crafter must create the armour for the torso, limbs and head using a glue-like substance found only in the Daemon Tunnels to bind the scales. A Daemon character will need to fetch this substance. - One dragon back-spine: can be crafted into a sword that can pierce any armour or shield, and that can never be dulled or broken.
Crafter must forge the sword on Shifter Island, using the fires of the volcano. A Shifter character must act as a guide to the volcano. - One dragon fang: can be ground into a powder that is a strong poison, for which there is no antidote. The powder can be dissolved in liquid or sprinkled on food and will be tasteless, odorless and colourless. One use.
Crafter must create a box to store the powder from wood of a living Forest of the Fae tree. Note that the trees must be bargained with as they will attack if the wood is taken without asking. A Fae character with a connection with the Forest should be used to negotiate.

Reproduction:
- when a draconoid mates with another draconoid a noble draconoid is born, regardless of the forms of the parents.
- When a Drconoid and a humanoid mate the baby is almost always draconoid, but in rare instances have been totally humanoid
- All draconoids lay eggs and if they mate with a female humanoid the baby will be born in an egg as well and most likely kill the mother in the process of laying it. As such male draconoid/female humanioid relationships are a very rare occurrence
