Is anybody there?
Does anybody care
What I'm feeling?
Name: Dante Elli Mori
Nickname(s): Elli
Played by: Draconis
Age: 14
Date of Birth: January 30th
Theme Song: Human by Krewella
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Practice: Reptilian Shaman- Snake Influence
Abilities:
Scales of Safety- No normal blade or sharp edge can harm the character
Loyalty: Tungsten, Horrus, the Mori family name, the Boil
Status/Occupation: Free roaming child
They say pain is an illusion
This is just a bruise
And you are just confused
But I am only human
Appearance:
This young one does not look all that special, with her height of five-foot three
She is lanky and weak in strength and stature, but not will
Youth, being as blissful as it is, makes her fair skin blemish free
Besides a single, straight healed scar over her right eyebrow
Despite that, there are hard lines on her face that make her seem mature
Or at least more so than for her age
Brown, brown, brown
Very, brown
Light brown hair pulled up in a ponytail with bangs swept to the side
Brown, ragged clothes that barely keep her alive
Lush and dark like a forest
And shaped like an almond nut
Vivid green irises stand out apart from a petite nose and thin lips
Offensive positions are not her strong suit
Versus defensive
In which case a knife is always on her person
Magic is important to, and it is the silver snake charm bracelet that she wears that grants her this power
Pets:
Tungsten is an interesting fellow
A Zwexious is what they call him
Or rather they, since the head count is two!
One named Tungsten, the other Horrus
Both despise one another
One is rather mellow and calm, while the other is rowdy and excited
A feud between brothers that has gone on for two hundred years or so
The night is bitter cold
I wonder if you know
That I'm sleepless
Personality:
Vulgar; Ellie has no shortage of obscene, crude, and rude words that escape from her mouth. By definition she has "the mouth of a sailor" and feels rather neutral about the ordeal. She does not feel like it is a problem that needs to be fixed, nor is it something to boast about. It's simply how she expresses concern, anger, excitement, and so on.
Curious; From learning how to whistle to seeking new wonders in a dangerous cave, Ellie is not short of this trait by any means. Though she can be easily frightened, backing down from a potential adventure is not a part of her book. Her curiosity does not exceed all the way to stupidity, however. Though she is not particularly book mart, she is street smart.
Protective; The few that are close with this human girl can always depend on her loyalty towards them. This includes he two-headed draconic companion, Tungsten and Horrus. She is not entirely fond of the idea on dying for someone, but given the chance she just might for a just cause. Despite her fear, she will not run unless it is necessary for her and her companions' survival.
Paranoid; Elli is barely over the stage of "cautious" with this trait. From living in a harsh environment through her early childhood to being along through the beginning stages of her teens, one could hardly blame her. She tends to be untrusting of other people, believing in the worst case scenario and so forth.
Alone; As stated above, Elli is a loner. It's not that she enjoys it so much as she has yet to trust anyone enough to accompany her or to stay with. Another reason may be that she travels a lot, never enjoying to stay in one place or another, especially large cities. She much prefers small towns and, on a general basis, prefers to be around others her own age rather than demanding adults.
Hot-Tempered; Her biggest flaw would have to be her temper. She is easily flustered and will perform foolish actions when angered to the point of a reaction. Elli refused to believe this is a problem and has been known to, occasionally, run at a stranger with her knife in hand from taunting or threats.
I could use a hand sometimes
I am only human
History:
Elli's family, though not born in the Boil, had lived and raised families in it for only a few generations. Her great grandparents had originated in The City as nobles, but were cast out due to their odd natures, unnerving magic revolved around reptiles, and strange habits. Rumors of murder and chaos in order to gain the King's favor were imminent at the time, but whether they were true or not remains to be seen. Their exile lead them to the Boil, and after a whole two generations of life in the desert, Elli was born.
The family, after so many years spent there, were taught the boil language as a second to the common tongue. Despite how long they lived in a small town called Krios, the natives all knew they were outsiders since their language was second in the Mori family. Their accents and pronunciation of words were "odd" compared to the natives and no matter what, even there they were outcasts out of suspicion.
Elli was deprived of a decent childhood, but it was not terrible either. Her parents did their usual ordeal, with teaching her their knowledge on different cultures, languages, and manners. What they did neglect to teach her was any form of self defense or sense of proper language for a young woman. They had wanted to wait to a later date to teach her the art of fighting, though her family had never been as good with it as diplomacy.
At ten years old, Elli lost her parents to a nasty disease that had ravaged and destroyed most of the town's population. Out of resentment (believing that they were selfish to leave), suffering, and fear of getting the virus herself, Elli left the village and ran out into the desert with no supplies or guidance. A foolish choice for sure that she would have to face wither her death, were it not for the wandering Zwaxious that came upon her dehydrated body one day.
The Zwaxious treated her like one of its own and brought her to a lush oasis filled with vegetation and water. It took her a few days, but she regained her strength and, at the same time, learned how to hunt and gained a new companion. She named the heads Tungsten and Horrus and rode them to a more populated part of the Boil.
As a young girl with no money or family, Elli had to scavenge what she could. With Tungsten's and Horrus's help, it was not as difficult for her as most others. Eventually though, she grew tired of the Boil's hot sun and dry sand and decided to find new and more colorful places. On the back of her Zwaxious, she began to travel at fourteen years of age.
