How To Price Your Black Market Items
The following is a guide to help you price your items. The guide is not meant to be a rule book since each item will be unique.
Copper Items ($2 to $18):
- Often non-magical
- Weak, poor quality
- Common items and herbs
- Often non-dangerous
Bronze Items ($20 to $180)
- Weak magic may be used
- Average quality
- Bigger or longer lasting than copper items
- More rare or more useful than copper items
Silver Items ($200 $1800)
- Stronger magic may be used
- Items are often rare and difficult to get
- High quality and beautiful
- May be dangerous
Gold Items ($2000 and up)
- May incorporate strong magic
- Items are highly coveted and possibly deadly
- Most have a long shelf life
- Nearly impossible to find
Black Market Limitations And Rules
Copper Items
- May carry as many as you would like
- Staff approval unnecessary
- They do not need to be acquired in game
- May be used by any character
Bronze Items
- May carry one for each ability you have (your post count divided by fifty, in most cases)
- Staff approval unnecessary
- They do not need to be acquired in game
- May be used by any character
Silver Items
- Staff approval must be acquired
- Item must be acquired in game under staff specified circumstances*
- May be used by any character
- May be received as an award or gift from another character that has met the requirements or from the gods
Gold Items
- Staff approval must be acquired
- Items may only be used properly by characters with specified post counts**
- Items must be acquired in game under staff specified circumstances*
- Items may be received as an award or gift from another character that has met the requirements or from the gods
*A staff member may dictate the way in which a character must go about receiving this item. Instructions may include but are not limited to, thread length minimum, number of characters present, and obstacle scenarios. The staff member may also use their staff account to play various NPCs within the thread.
**Most gold items are dangerous to use and require skill and control to use properly. Each gold item should come with a post count necessary to use the item. If the character is below that requirement, the item can backfire and harm the character.
