((Alright guys. This is my first fic ever xD. Soooo it won't be very good. Fair warning xD.))
Out of all the nine realms, Midgard was her favorite. Asgard was too stuck up, too formal for her. But Midgard, called Earth by the humans, was not nearly so. Here she could have fun, cause some mischief and jealousy, play with some hearts. But as of recently, she had to be jus the slightest bit more careful.
Sigyn had heard everything that happened in Manhattan, New York. Just a few years ago, an ‘extra terrestrial being’, one by the name of Loki, had caused quite a stir. Loki, who too was from Asgard, had brought a malicious race known as the Chitauri, to the Earth and had attempted to be its supreme ruler. From what her followers had told her, Loki was actually a Frost Giant, not an asgardian. It was because of him, though, that the humans had increased their security, making Sigyn just the slightest bit paranoid. There was no telling when someone would realize she was not of the human’s world.
To begin, she was more beautiful and graceful than any human female alive. With eyes as green as leaves, bouncy yet wavy long, golden hair, angular, smooth features, and almond shaped eyes, almost no mortal could resist her. Her beauty practically radiated off her skin, giving it a sort of glowing hue. Sometimes even women were attracted to her, gazing with lust-filled eyes. But Sigyn had no interest in the opposite sex. Procreation could not happen between a man and a man or vice-versa. So she believed the humans to be strange, since she believed procreation to be of vital importance, even if she always played with men’s hearts.
Calm and relaxed, Sigyn, whom humans once referred to as the ‘Nymph goddess’ many, many centuries ago, briefly admired the structure of the Stark Tower. From her understanding, it had just finished its repairs from the Chitauri invasion a few months ago. As she examined it, Sigyn decided that she would never understand why humans took such pride in their architecture. But she was not there to gaze at glass and metal. No, she was there to meet an ‘old friend’, one that was born in the same realm as she.
“Sigyn!”
The familiar and masculine voice caused her to turn, so she would be face-to-face with the blonde-haired infamous hero (of multiple worlds, at that), Thor.
He was wearing a plain, form-fitting, navy blue t-shirt with a simple pair of jeans. Personally, Sigyn preferred the red-cape-and-armor look, but he was not really her type to begin with. Thor was too goody-goody, too heroic for her tastes. She liked excitement, adventure. And to her, a man with his personality was none of that. Well, perhaps a bit, but in her eyes he was none.
The asgardian embraced the beautiful woman, dressed in a blue-silk dress, without a moments warning. Hesitantly, Sigyn returned the ‘friendly’ gesture, even if they were more-or-less acquaintances rather than friends. It had been so many decades, after all, so he was little more than a stranger to her.
Finally, he released her, grinning from ear to ear. “My friend! I am most glad to see you after such a long time! Have you truly been on Earth all this time?”
Sigyn smiled back to him in regards of his question, though it was nothing more than a mask, a fraud. “Yes I have, Thor. This world is better suited for someone such as myself, as you very well know. Asgard could barely stand my presence.” She was careful to not insult the homeland, since Thor held the place close to his heart.
He laughed. “Yes! The guards were tempted to arrest you for all the mischief you caused! With men, no less. You even played with the guards themselves! I am surprised that you have never had the chance to become acquainted with my younger brother.” Just the subject of his younger brother made a flicker of regret, guilt, and even sadness appear in Thor’s blue eyes.
Sigyn felt uncomfortable speaking of Loki, especially with the events that happened not a few years ago. It seemed changing the subject would have been the best thing to do, so she did.
“You said you have comrades that you wish for me to meet, yes?” When Thor had found out about her presence, he had looked, found, and sent one of her followers to deliver a message since it was too difficult to find Sigyn herself. The message was to meet Thor at the Stark Tower, two days after she received the message. And so there she was. “I assume you mean the Avengers, yes?” she continued. “If I am to meet them, then let us be on with it. All these bustling humans and their metallic contraptions are driving me mad.” She desired to be away from the polluted and busy streets of Manhattan. It was never quiet there.
It seemed the asgardian prince had not forgotten their ways, for he slightly bowed his head at her request. After, he locked their arms together and lead the beautiful woman, Sigyn, into the Stark Tower.
