Answer my call, and I'll set you free
Abilities:
Soothing Stance: While in her true or half form, NPCs and other characters feel calm around Roberta, to the point where they will not attack her even if she is upsetting or angering them. The higher a character's post count, the more chance they have to counter this effect. This may also be countered with any ability that negates emotion manipulation.
I am the voice in the wind and the pouring rain
I am the voice of your hunger and pain
I am the voice of your hunger and pain
Appearance:
Human Form: While Rob leans more towards her mother's side magically, appearance wise Rob looks like a mix between both her influences with the more delicate terrka features muddling with the more powerful and distinct physical attributes of a sprite. While not particularly shapely, Rob is by no means androgynous and everything about her is very powerfully and distinctively female which compliments her naturally sweet face quite nicely.
Rob has round dark blue eyes and thick brown hair streaked with black, cut to just below her shoulders. Usually Rob will have her hair done up in whatever style is trending with humans as Rob has a tenancy to prefer city life to the wilderness. In fact most of everything Rob wears from her lipstick to her shoes are whatever is the latest trend in human fashion although Rob always manages to add in a few fresh flowers or animal-shaped pendents here and there; almost as a reminder that she is very much a shifter.
She's tall, standing at 5'9", with long limbs and a soft build. While fit, Rob has no distinct muscle or particular skill with fighting. Most of the work she does is political and she's never had the need to train for much of anything.
As a sign of her true form Rob has slightly pointed ears.
True Form: While her human form is soft and fairly harmless Rob's true form is strong and lethal. She looks fairly canine but is around the size of a large tiger with huge retractable claws and needle sharp fangs. Her belly and face are white with dapples grey-blue and purple over her shoulders and tail and brilliant aqua embellishments decorating her body. Although even her true form has been influenced by her fire sprite side.
Her father was a blue fire sprite and in her true form blue fire is constantly burning along Rob's paws, the end of her tail, at the tips of her ears, and sometimes along her back. This fire is hot and will never cause something else to catch on fire. She is able to manipulate the flames into bardic tools. In her true form Rob can only produce sounds like string instruments and bells.
I am the voice in the fields when the summer's gone
The dance of the leaves when the autumn winds blow

Personality:
First and foremost, Rob is the Alpha female of the Shifters. It's a role she has held since she was 136 and no one can deny that Rob knows what she's doing, no matter what anyone may think of her policies.
Rob is cunning and manipulative, she's able to use her natural and magical charm to coax what she wants out of people. And if that doesn't work Rob is willing to use her body or the physical prowess of her most loyal subjects to bully anything she wants. Rob is proud but not so much that her ego gets in the way of leadership and there are times when Rob can be downright conniving. It takes a lot to stay on top and Rob's not afraid to make challengers to her dominance disappear.
Politically, Rob is of the opinion that there is no hope for the Shifters to disconnect from the Humans. She believes in their alliance, even if humans look down on her kind. For this reason Rob lives in the city and injects herself into whatever human politics she can to gain favor and Rob has a significant following of well paid free shifters to do her bidding. In many ways Rob rules more like the king of thieves than a standard alpha, although she works in more legitimate business devours.

Filled with my sorrow and blood in my fields

History:
Rob was born and raised on the shifter island to a bardic terrka mother named Hamara Atwood and a blue fire sprite named Roy Lee. Her early childhood was peaceful, and she spent most of her time playing on the shore and in the tropical forests with her two older brothers, Hunter and Mackie, who were both fire sprites. It was a loving family and Rob grew up spending most of her time in her true form, making it vastly stronger than her human form. She fit in with the forest, where her brilliant colors blended into the wilderness and the flames crawling over her body never seemed to hurt anything around her unlike her father and brothers (all three of whom seemed to prefer their human forms).
It wasn't until Rob was 19 and went to the human city with Hunter for the first time that she learned to appreciate her human form as well. Rob was intrigued by the other species of Litharia but initially became quite resentful of the way her brother and herself were treated.
For the next twenty years Rob traveled back and forth from the island to the mainland with her eldest brother and as she did so she grew to learn more about the different cultures and political climate of her home. And with that understanding came a will to manipulate it for her own personal gain. At the age of 41 Rob stopped traveling with her brother and moved into the city, living with the feral shifters and gaining a small group of people loyal to her from a young age. She was smart and charasmatic, people were drawn to her and it wasn't long before Roberta had a small gang of nine shifters loyal to her.
The life she led was underhand, and it was in this time where Roberta started to form her pillar ideas about how shifter government needed to work. They were treated with disgust, that wasn't about to change no matter what they did. but they could carve out a life if they were cunning enough and Rob was. So it was that when the old alpha female retired when Rob was 136 the halfbreed claimed the title immediately and her nine supported her claim to power. Challengers, and at first there were many, fought Rob in her true form and in the event that they could too obviously overpower the slim shifter one of her nine would fight in her stead.
After about ten years the challenges ended and Rob set to work ruling her species as she saw fit, tending to stay in the city and lead from a comfortable seat of power while keeping her actions open and falling in line with the political leanings of whatever king was in charge - for the most part, anyway.
One unique thing Rob does is that she always keeps a group of nine around her, ranked in order of their service. Whenever one dies or retires Rob finds a new ninth shifter to replace them. They are all loyal to her and have no claim to leadership but support her ruling and often times are dispatched by Rob to various tasks.

Roleplay Sample:
The smell of dust hung thick in the air as Rob pressed her nose to the crack in the door, her pale blue nose quivering for a moment before she drew back a few steps. Her fluffy tail wagged as she sat down on her haunches, ignoring as the blue flames at her paws lapped at her belly. She was eye catching on the dark street, the only visible light source aside from candles for miles around but fortunately for her no one was out tonight. It was the night of the full moon, after all. Few humans aside from the occasional hound dared to be out on this night which made it perfect for the sixty year old shifter and her merry little gang of nine to find a new place to stay.
Rob made a sound like a church bell tolling, a total of nine times before she stood again and looked around, her nose quivering as her brilliant blue tongue licked the side of her snout, trying to clear off any dust clinging to her fur. It took a few minutes before she heard the cry of a goshawk far ahead and she saw the outline of Kell against the full moon. Rob reared up onto her hind legs, standing awkwardly for a few seconds before she fell back to all fours as the hawk dove down. Rob couldn't open the door on her own but Kell could and it didn't take long before he managed to undo the latch and Rob pushed past him, forcing the door open with a heavy shoulder.
The place had once been a restaurant but had closed down ages ago because the owner had refused to pay the king's tax. Inside there was a thick coat of dust and remains of furniture lay where it had been knocked down on the day hounds had come to arrest the owner and his meager family. It was perfect for the small group of shifters who had been wearing their welcome in their previous residence.
Rob sniffed around before she hopped on top of a table and settled down for the night while Kell flew back to see if there was any food still around that wasn't rotten. The young terrka just ignored him and closed her eyes, content to feign sleep as the goshawk settled and the other shifters started to drift in as well, ready to settle down for the night. Even when a slender tabby shifter hopped up to sleep curled next to Rob's tail she ignored them. She was warm, content, and happy. They could stay here until the humans started to notice and then they would move on again. It wasn't a bad life for any of them and Rob was happy with what they had.
