Watch them build a friend just like you
Morning sickness, XYZ
Teenage girls with ESP"
Appearance:
General Appearance: Set is a bit more built than he used to be with the small amount of training he has gone through and has put on a lot more weight. Before becoming apprenticed, he was skin and bones. He is still unhealthily skinny and this may be due to his strong drug addiction. He is very lanky and only has a height of five foot six, average when it comes to mammalian shifters.
Set’s face is mostly oval shaped. His cheeks used to be sunken in with his cheek bones protruding a good deal. Now they are a little more filled His skin tone is golden brown (due to his true form) put is a little paler than it should be. He has narrow shoulders and, overall, is not the most attractive guy to look at. He looks more like a teenager than an adult, and technically he is.
Hair: His hair used to be very thin and unhealthy. There has been no major improvements, but there still have been just the slightest bit. Set’s hair is a golden brown shade and is just the slightest bit thicker. He still rarely takes care of it and has even let it grow out a bit.
Eyes: Set’s eyes are a dull yellow, a trait from his true form. They’re almond shaped and a look a bit sunken in into his head. They are perhaps the most attractive physical feature on him due to their golden shimmer. Most people refer to them as wolf eyes.
Clothes: Set wears whatever he is able to afford, though now he tends to prefer blacks and greys to blend in with the night as that is when he works most nowadays.
Weapons: Set is in the process of learning how to use two rather plain and cheaply made iron daggers. He now owns a long bow as well, but is far away from being able to pull it back.
True Form: Set is a Common Jackal, also known as a Boil Golden Jackal. He’s not very large, only about forty-four inches in length (from the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail) and eighteen inches in shoulder height. Most of his body is golden brown, though a portion of his back is red-ish brown, black in appearance from a long-distant. His true form also has amber/dull yellow eyes.
Half-Form: Set’s half-form is basically a humanoid-jackal. His entire cranium shits into the shape of a canine’s, with a long, narrow muzzle filled with long teeth and covered in fur. On the end of the muzzle is his black nose, while where his humanoid ears should have been, there are instead large, pointed jackal ears. His eyes become narrower and turn completely black.
The rest of his body is much more humanoid. His shoulders broaden to be proportionate with his head. Set’s fingernails turn into long black claws, while his feet and legs completely transform into a similar canine’ shape. His thighs and legs only shift slightly in angle and length, while his foot completely transforms. Set’s heel stretches out at an angle and does not touch the ground like a human foot. The heel is always raised and, in the direction towards his feet, gradually lowers to the ground. It is not till you get to his toes, claws, and the ball of his foot till he actually uses his feet. Because of this odd formation of bones, his knees are always bent.
To add with all those features, he is entirely covered in black fur. It is black instead of his usually gold because of his affinity; death has colored him differently in this form. Set is able to speak, though not very well and can run faster than his human form, but still not as fast as his true form.

Turn up the slam and a barcode blaster
We want the cash or the drugs you’re after
Rise up control for the mixtape master”

Personality:
Cowardly; Set is one of the biggest cowards on the streets. He will refrain from doing nearly anything just because he is afraid of something. Intimidating him is extremely easy, and even then he never picks on the weak because he is considered to be one of the weak. Any sign of danger, and Set will run away on pure instinct.
Survivor; Unless there is immediate danger or threats about, Set will do a number of things to survive. Only rarely does he ever steal, but the rest of the time he eats anything he finds; rats, birds, cats, and even dogs. Because he is all about survival, Set does not trust anybody.
Dishonest; Telling the truth is a good way to get oneself killed, so that is why he does not do it. He will often lie about how much coin he has (if any) and will even do it to a fellow slum dog that would need just a copper to get a meal.
Ignorant; Because he has lived in nothing but the streets of the City of Thieves, Set does not know how to read or write. He barely knows how to count and does not know how to speak correctly. His language is vulgar, things that he has picked up on the streets. And he is very ignorant on anything that does not involve the slums of the City of Thieves.
Addict; Set is very addicted to the Shifter drug Heprinsal. It nearly consumes his life and, if he were to abrubtly stop, it would kill him. Nearly all his coin is spent on this versus food. Slowly he is starting to use less thanks to his apprenticeship, but he will never truly be able to get away without dying.

History:
Abandoned in the City of Theives at a young age, Set spent all of his life fighting for survival. There was never an instant where he did not have to fight for or steal his food, never an instance where he had a roof over his head. He started out suckering people into giving him food by shifting into his true form, which at that time looked like a puppy. It worked well for him for a little while, but then that puppy grew and people started looking at him as nothing more than a scavenger rather than a cute and lost animal.
Set switched to stealing and running, which is even what he does today. He would steal in his true form so no one would see his true face. Since he grew up alone and on his own, he learned to never trust people and running away was the best thing to do. Once he did get beaten for stealing and there was where he become more paranoid about it.
At twenty three, Set became addicted to the drug Heprinsal. It ruled his life from the minute he started it. Quickly his health started to deteriorate, making him look like nothing more than a skeleton. Since he hardly ever had money to pay for it, Set would constantly get excruciating headaches and bad coughing fits.
With that addiction, he continued to do what he did best; survive at any means necessary. A good many years of this went by until recent dates. Set met a young human girl, one in a situation similar to his, named Keziah. While he did not trust her, he was a bit appreciative of the brief company they spent together. After that day he met her, Set was given an offer by the Black Dragons guild.
For a few months, Set worked with the guild. He managed to break away from it and returned to his usual dealings and thefts on the streets. Sadly, he over dosed on the Heprinsal drug at a point and was on the verge of death. He would have died, had a man named Fulkore not seen some form of potential in Set. Set had actually managed to steal food from the master thief and assassin. The man realized the minute his food was gone and after the theft, knew who had taken it. He had watched Set for a good while till the over dose and from there, Fulkore healed him and apprenticed him and became the shifter's harsh and cruel teacher.

“But it’s one copper! Fuckin'…you can’t give me the damn apple ‘cause I’m missin’ a copper?”
“Yes, that’s exactly what I’m saying.”
“You...fuck you. Screw this.”
Just in the market for some food, Set was just as pissed as usually. He had an agonizing headache and really, really just wanted some fruit. He only needed two coppers for one apple and he only had one on his person. But the vendor would not take anything less and Set was broke. It was ridiculous!
He sighed, walking away hunched over. Set could barely walk in a straight line. He was constantly leaning to the right too much or vice versa. A few times he almost fell over because he thought he saw something at his feet, but there was nothing. The effects of his last smoke was starting to go away, leaving him with the nasty ‘aftertaste’. The headaches were already starting and he had no idea when the coughing would too. Sometimes he wished he could get over his addiction, but he’d need help. And as stubborn as he was, Set was not willing to trust anyone with his life like that. He had survived just fine without a single friend.
The shifter had only managed to get to the opening of an alley way before he collapsed to the ground, unable to move anymore. His headache was gradually increasing, pounding against every nook and cranny that existed in his head. Gods he needed another smoke, but he was broke and out of the stuff! All he could do was curl up in a ball and groan.
Without really meaning to, Set shifted into his skinny true form and fell asleep on his side. To everybody else that passed by he looked like nothing more than a dead animal, so no one bothered with him.
